Last Spring, two independent practices, BA ATELIER and DEKLARO, opened a shared physical space in Koukaki, Athens.
Material integrity defines both practices, positioned between utility and expression. Deklaro by Sandra Sharman, works through silhouette and proportion, clothing defined by clean lines and subtle form, while Ba Atelier creates fluid, organic compositions developed into woven pieces.
The gallery-style boutique is located at Tsami Karatasou 44, on the foothills of Filopappou, amidst historic residential surroundings. The modest, divided-level room presents its works in a considered manner, allowing space to observe each piece. Just moments from the Acropolis it sits quietly within its surroundings—an understated hidden gem.
On June 24th, the pair inaugurated the space by holding an opening celebration bringing together the Athenian creative community, friends, family and neighbours.
