SERIES I
Designed to reflect the rhythmic patterns observed in nature, the series presents micro-cosmic visions of landscape. Fluid, meditative representations of foliage, streams and rock formations born in the dialogue between artist and weaver, are transformed into an exercise of natural contemplation.
SERIES II
Derived from the abstract expression of Arabic letters, the series explores the relationship between meaning and form. Liquid, script-like lines flow down the panelled wall hangings, or cascade across the surface of kilim, revealing an intuitive asemetic language in gestural ink strokes.
SERIES III
Translating paper collages into tactile works, the collection uses hand-cut colour blocks and layering to create the impression of visual dimension, resulting in idiosyncratic spiritual planes. Developed in a thicker wool weave, the pieces work both as rugs and wall-hangings.
